10th June 2023

Today didn’t start off the best. We left the digs and a loose rock fell off a stone wall in front of me whilst on a narrow path with a large carved out drainage area in the middle. In trying to avoid the rock my front wheel fell down the hole……closely followed by the back wheel. It took some effort to get out with some assistance from our intrepid support duo.

Not much I can say about today but WOW!

Some of the amazing scenery

The roads became rougher and rougher and the drop off the edge appeared to be greater than before. Concentration was at a premium to avoid any of the obstacles and to prevent riding off the edge of a precipice.

Stopping for a quick photo shoot

We visited one of many monasteries which I was in awe of. The landscape just seemed to go on forever.

More snow capped mountains

We met up with some amazing people on the way – they all seem so happy with their life.

One of the locals

When we arrived at our destination we found our accommodation wasn’t quite ready. Much riding around and we finally found somewhere to stay.

Bedrooms not quite prepared

The videos are unedited at the moment so it shows the full 5 hours of travelling (there was a bit more but the SD card ran out). Anyway, the GoPro is up and working so there are four lots of videos….the bike cam split into morning and afternoon as is the head cam. I will get around to shortening these as time goes on but I have hours of footage to go through so from now on it will be the unedited versions until I get time to make it more manageable. The full videos will still be available after editing if you want to wile away hours of your life.
